Speed up your PC with one click

December 9th, 2006. Filed under: Tips

You can create easily a file on your desktop that will, upon double click, clear up Windows memory. This makes your PC run a little faster, having less system tasks. The instructions are simple.

    1. Right click on your desktop>>New>>Shortcut
    2. Type this into the location box (without the quotation marks)

    “%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks”

    3. Click Next. Name the file anything you want. Eg: Panic Button! Click OK.
    4. Just double click that file anytime and it will filter out idle processes.

If you don’t understand those instructions (tsktsktsk) you can view the video below.
