Speed up your PC with one click

December 9th, 2006. Filed under: Tips

You can create easily a file on your desktop that will, upon double click, clear up Windows memory. This makes your PC run a little faster, having less system tasks. The instructions are simple.

1. Right click on your desktop>>New>>Shortcut
2. Type this into the location box (without the quotation marks)

“%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks”

3. Click Next. Name the file anything you want. Eg: Panic Button! Click OK.
4. Just double click that file anytime and it will filter out idle processes.

If you don’t understand those instructions (tsktsktsk) you can view the video below.

  3. hey… maybe you need to take a break from your windows stuff…
if you agree, then sit back on your couch on dec. 14th… make
    sure it’s a thursday – yes, 2006, that’s right…

step 1: make sure your ass is parked on the couch at 10:29 pm
step 2: you have 1 minute to turn your tv on and switch to 8tv
step 3: blast your speakers to make sure your neighbors can hear
    you’re having a good time
step 4: watch whatever comes on the screen for one hour
step 5: report back to the mothership what the show was about.

nope. i’m not telling you what the program is. find out for
yourself. decode this message in 10 seconds — if you don’t
perform as listed… in the right order, it will screw your brain.

thank you. from your friendly neighbor.
