  • Malaysians: When the tough gets going

December 4th, 2006. Filed under: Blog

Today, I have made a resolution. Today, I have made a decision.

The original plan: that I further my tertiary studies in the US of A, find/get a job there after graduating and live happily ever after.

The contradicting attitude: to say that Malaysians who migrate overseas are those who are running away from problems in the home country.

The decision: after many weeks of living with these two contradicting things in my head, I now say that….

I shall return to Malaysia after graduation.

I can’t give up on Malaysia! I know it’s plenty poked with flaws but if everybody keeps running off to Australia how can you expect things to change?!?!? You can rant and criticize and complain all you want but think deeper into issues guys.

If I really follow my original plan, I’ll end up living in America, pursuing the American dream, get a decent job, get really busy, blablablablabla stuff liddat catchmadrift?

If I come back, I’ll end up living in KL, pursuing the nonexistent Malaysian dream, get a boring job, get really busy, blablablablabla stuff liddat knowwhatarmseyingBUTTTT ORRRR I can lay my hand into things that have so much room for growth! Did you know I’ve always supported the second place in anything and everything? (Save for Maxis, Astro, and Christian belief. I won’t budge from those) So why should I go to America where things are already ahead of the world in many aspects? Why can’t I be someplace where doing something outstanding is somewhat comparatively (yet arguably) easier and be known for it?

DONT JUDGE ME FOR TRYING TO BE KNOWN. I don’t need an excuse for that. (Do I?)

Wellll……. perhaps I can make some cash in America then bring it back and do some good? Yeah~~~ now THAT would be splendid would it? I know, I know I’m just talking big but I gotta start SOMEwhere.

Hereafter begins my attempt of self-exposure to things would-be beneficial! Wish me luck.
