One fine day, I was innocently blogging about my day on Chinese new year. Tralalalala~ *type-type*
Then ALL of a sudden, I found out my name appeared on Global Voices blog. Okay, I said. So this big-time blog actually linked to my post. Woohoo!
Next I realized that the author, SK Thew, sorta misinterpreted my post. Check this out.
WHART THE-!?!?! I CLEARLY said that I GREW UP watching Astro, not watching it instead of visiting relatives! How could this happen!? They made me look bad! In a WORLDWIDE BLOG! And I wasn’t even using a pseudonym!
I left a comment correcting the error. But I remembered something I learned from Human Communication class.
“Communication is inevitable, irreversible, and unrepeatable”
- Joseph A. Devito, Human Communication – The Basic Course
Sigh, someday I will look back on this incident and laugh. At least my ranking in Technorati increased.

I know this review is nowhere near timely, but I shall write it to support to local music scene.
The packaging of the album already gave the first and true impression of its contents: different. Its title that doubles as the name of the one-minute introductory track says nothing but ‘get ready to be enchanted’ (not literally said).
Their style of music is unlike anything one would hear in mainstream radio, employing eyebrow-raising sound effects that plunges the listener into a whole new dimension. Despite its experimental regard due to its unconventional methods, this album is not without some noticable elements of soft/pop rock. However, about half the album playtime is instrumental, which indicates the abundant use of delectable sounds. The ambience generated is nothing less than capturing, hence deserving more than just being background music.
The only drawback that I could find is the tendency of repetition and stretching of tracks. Though I admit that its length is crucial to achieve the full effect, the simpletons of the music industry probably would not appreciate its magnificence as much. Nevertheless, one cannot deny the tremendous effort put into this truly beautiful work of art. Every track complements each other; you either want all if it or none.
To taste musical talent that no other Malaysian has yet to display in such inspiritional heights, buy this album. When you do, brace yourself.

Today, I have recieved a response from the webmaster of blogtal.com who assisted me in a php issue that I was facing. Initially, as I e-mailed him the request, I had never expected to recieve a reply at all. To my delighted surprise, the webmaster even asked for the php file to fix for me, despite the fact that we were complete strangers.
This is the exact attitude that is needed in our society. I am not implying that it is lacking in Malaysia, just something that we have to bear in mind. No matter where we are, as long as we are within reach, we should be helpful to people. Even if it is not in our job description, this goes not just for our own kin but for strangers as well. Change the world, start with yourself.
